Heavy metal is a genre of rock music it was developed the late 1960s and the early 1970s.The first heavy metal bands were Led zeppelin,Black sabbath,Deep purple and blue cheer... after attracting large audiences at their first concerts heavy metal was developed.After motorhead influenced punk rock the british band iron maiden followed in their footsteps.Fans of heavy metal bands were known as headbangers or metalheads due to the screaming and headbanging.
